At Donkey Back in Oswaldtwistle, a tip is turned into a picnic area

A piece of derelict land was cleaned and a low wall constructed to create a semi-circular grass area. From here is a splendid panoramic view across to the distant hills, and an orientation plaque was designed and installed. The wall was made of Lancashire grit stone, with large boulders as sculptural features, and incorporating seats and a barbecue
